Hi All --
I'm working with one of our writers here to put together a webcast about securing you mobile devices. We're looking for questions from you all to use, but so far nobody has submitted any! We're recording on Friday, and I would really appreciate it if you would submit your questions for us to use. You can put them here or in the original thread.

We're looking for things like -- how do you prevent your laptop from being stolen? What do you do if you lose your cell phone? stuff like that.
Thank you for helping me out!

Help Needed: Your Questions on Mobile Devices

How about...
* What is the best way to protect my personal information on my Palm based smartphone in case it ever gets stolen (i.e. contact lists, email messages, etc)? Same for Blackberry phones and Windoze Mobile smartphones? Is there software that will encrypt the contents? Software to lock the phone? Does either option have to be locked/encrypted all the time or is there a way to activate it remotely (i.e. with a phone call to the phone or text message to the phone)?
* Are there ways to "lojak" my phone if it gets stolen?
* Are there ways to safely carry critical personal information in some protected format (i.e. credit card numbers, bank account numbers, etc) that can then be accessed when needed but otherwise protected? Palm, Blackberry, Windoze mobile, laptop computer
* What are the best ways to phyically protect a laptop when in various locations? Sitting in the airport? When sitting in the "frequent flyer" club and you want to go get some thing else to drink but don't want to lose your laptop workstation? When using the "facilities" and the "facilities" doors do not go fully to the floor and the space is tight? When sitting at a restaurant table?
* What measures should one take to protect information on your laptop? Just an "entry" password for Windoze/Mac OS? Or encrypt the whole hard drive? Or something in-between? Suggested options would be nice for both Windoze and Mac (and maybe even Linux).
* Are there ways to "lojak" my laptop? Windoze only? Or also Mac?
* How do I keep my noisy neighbor on the plane from reading my confidential files/emails that are on my screen when I use my laptop on the plane (assuming that I actually have enough room to actually open up my laptop on the plane in the shrinky-dink seat space that most airlines supply)?
All I can think of for the moment...
