Hi jov, It sounds to me like he could be having a problem with his graphics package. If he is running onboard graphics, you would need to install a card and drivers, If he is running and card and has an onboard chipset, you could uninstall the card and enable the onboard graphics. If the onboard graphics work OK, then most most likely the card going south. coastie65

He doesn't have anything in the control panel that refers to Connection Center or Dial-up Accelerator. He's currently running MSN 9, which may have incorporated those directly into the MSN suite. I'm going to have him completely uninstall his MSN software, reboot and reinstall the software. Will report when done.

If you are using MSN, it is being installed through Windows update, so he probably wouldn't even have known about it. I would really recommend changing ISPs.

Uninstall/Reinstall didn't work. There doesn't seem to be any option to disable the accelerator. A change in ISP would probably do him good anyway.
