I'm a new subscriber and new to posting. I have posted 2 questions so far and have not received any help. The problems I have been having no one seems to have an answer to, so I decided to post the questions here, something I have never done before. I have noticed that some postings have been given constructive criticism for getting help quicker, I have received no help in any manner. I would really like to know what I could be doing different so I could take advantage of subscribing to this site and magazine. So far the magazine seems to be the way to go for help.

What do you need help with?

Are you wanting to purchase Pc World?

Or are you wanting to get familiar with this form?

Regards Vlad

Hi Sailn and welcome to PCWorld. :-)

Okay, there is no trick to getting help sooner. The only advice I can provide is to be patient. Your first Discussion was opened on February 7th. Your second Discussion was opened yesterday. I can see the frustration regarding the first Discussion; however, the second Discussion was opened just over 24 hours ago.

This is not criticism. However, please realize that only the 25 newest Discussions are listed on the main page. If your Discussion is not seen, or if no one has an valid suggestion for your issue before it gets bumped to the second page, the chances of that Discussion being seen by the regular members is reduced. If you notice, the first 25 Discussions can appear within a few hours of each other.

There is an automated member (PCWorld) that submits news articles for others to comment. If this automated member submits five or six at a time, and does that within a couple hours of each other, that only leaves about ten or fifteen slots for Discussions from regular members. Then you have to take into account the fact that there are General Talk Community Discussions that are continuously updated that take up slots within the main page.

I can understand your frustration; however, you have to be a bit more patient and allow people a chance to respond to your Discussion. It looks like Snorg and Vlad have responded to both of your Discussions, please respond to these posts in order to update your Discussions and grab two slots on the main page.

This particular Discussion will be closed. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact any of the Member Moderators (AuroraManson, Cosmo, and myself) or Kellie, the Community Manager.
