I have used Norton security products for some years but am having trouble with Adobe Premiere Elements shutting down my PC whenever I try to open Adobe PE. I have been advised that Norton and Adobe do not work well together and Norton 360 is probably causing the trouble. To check this out I have tried four times to get rid of 360 without total success. I have uninstalled it (and it no longer shows in "add remove programs") and I have run the Norton removal tool four times. However the 360 icon still shows on the desktop and will re-install the program by clicking on it so obviously 360 is still lurking in my computer and I still cannot use Adobe Premiere Elements and I still do not know if 360 is the problem.
How do I totally remove 360 from my PC?

Hi alawi and welcome to the post. You need to go to Symantec's site and get the norton removal tool. That will remove Norton and I would recommend AVG free. It is a free anti virus and very good. Also, Superantispy is free and very good. coastie65

Since you have already "Uninstalled" ALL components ( you have uninstalled ALL components !? ) from "Add or Remove Programs" AND run the "Norton Removal Tool", the only thing I can thing of is to follow the "procedure" recommended in the Article " Symantec uninstaller may not finish the job" at windowssecrets.com/comp/080207 .

Hey alawal!! I have a suggestion. Have you tried using the Norton Removal Tool In safe mode. Download a fresh copy of the removal tool to your desktop and from there reboot in safe mode. Once in safe mode, run the removal tool and see if that clears up your problem.
There is a tool called Revo Uninstaller that might be able to help. You would run this tool "before" the safe mode option if you are to do it.
Here , you will be able to read about and download if you so desire. PLZ read ALL information before using. I personally use this tool but, since you might not be aware of it , it would be best to read the info.
