I'm in the process of retiring and have 10 years worth of contacts and future appointments in my outlook program. These are on my work laptop and I would really like to transfer them to my personal lap top and desk top. I have tried a couple of freeware items that you guys have tested like Mingo but they do not seem to work. Do you have a suggestion to make this simple and painless. All 3 computers have XP and my ideal thought is to keep the info on a 2 gig thumb drive/memory stick.

You should be able to export them to a PST file using the Import and Export command under the File menu. Select "Export to a file" from the list of options. Then choose "Personal Folder File (.pst)". Then select what what folders you want to export...you could select your whole Personal Folder and that would take contacts, calendars, emails, etc...or you could just select the calendar and then repeat the process for contacts.
Then you can import them into Outlook on your own computer, which pull them into your main Outlook file for that computer.
Of if you want to keep them on a flash drive, then you can just use the Open command to open an Outlook Data File to "mount" that file(s) when/if you need it on which ever computer the flash drive is connected to.
