No they are not.

The sites are not illegal, the MPAA just throws hissy fits when someone puts together a nice collection of free vids. The sites are perfectly legal as no copyrighted assets are stored at the site.

Hi, Cosmo. Hi everybody. A couple of weeks ago I went to Veoh to watch my Naruto Shippuuden ep 51 and all I got was a 5 min video. I must have gone around and around for over an hour trying to find the "real" video but I got nothing. Finally, it dawned on me that if I wanted to watch Naruto I was going to have to download the VeohTV. And, I really, really don't like downloading stuff from the Web.

So anyway, I did, I went ahead and downloaded the thing, keeping my fingers crossed. Well, the quality of the videos is really good, but sometimes I still have to go around and around to find what I need. I thought that wasn't going to happen anymore since I downloaded the VeohTV.

Oh, well... Has that happened to you too? and this past Friday, I couldn't find ep 53. Maybe it hasn't been dubbed yet...?

Hi adama, It took awhile to get all the issues straightened out with these thing, but finally did and I'm back. Anyway, the MPAA will squawk at everything. I don't think they believe in Public Domaine which a lot of older stuff in particular is now. I don't think there is anything to worry about as to what you are downloading. I don'y download Vids or Movies, But I do download a lot of music through a service and I pay for it. I lost 7 tunes when this thing broke as I hadn't burned them. That was $5 or $6 out the door. I hadn't heard much about Stage6. !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/

Hi, Coastie! I'm so glad you finally got your computer working again! Did You do it or did you have to have the other people do it for you?

Your emo made me laugh :^0 it's really, really cute.

I didn't know about Stage6 until Cosmo started this thread, and it took me 3 days (during the day only) to catch up with eps 1 - 48 of Naruto Shippuuden. So, Stage6 closed down in Feb, but they left Veoh in its place.

Veoh has high quality videos from everywhere that you can watch and download. Me? I just watch the eps, try not to download stuff if I can avoid it.

off topic: Did you get the pic I left for you at "Pictures & Emos - Many Stories" thread? (General Talk.) I don't think that Cosmo got his either.

Oh well...

I agree. I think Stage6 going offline is sad. I go to SurfTheChannel.com now for my movies.

Hi adama, Somehow I missed that site, but I don't spend any time watching movies on this thing anyway, too much else going on. I'll have to check that thread. I had to take this thing somewhere that had another computer to network into this one as I lost my Keyboard drivers and access. They ended up wiping my HDD and reinstalled the OS and Drivers or at least attempted the drivers. It took me awhile to get that mess straightened out. I had some problems with the MOBO chipset drivers. I had them but couldn't get them installed. A friend was over and asked me if I had opened the files before I tried to install them. I just sat there and started laughing and said OOPS. In my rush, I was skipping a step. I had to go online to find something to open them with, but once opened it was smooth sailing. coastie65

It's a big shame I'm now visiting this link after a month later. I haven't even heard of the site.

Oh well.

Hey everyone, I'm Killa an Admin at Demonflicks. You wont need to worry about attending our site. As Cosmo said, MPAA does get fussy, however they never apoint to the main sites like Youtube, Veoh, and etc.

Stage6 was actually shut down, due to a law suit from UMG, I believe. It's a shame that it's gone. But everyone is more then welcome to attend www.demonflicks.com if the owner of PC Wold would like to affiliate you can message me on demonflicks.
