my mother started using paper printed on one side on her HP laser printer. She started getting a problem with some of the pages, that it seemed to print on the back a solid grey.
I took a look and found that this only happened with pages that had a small tab on (either) side of the top of the sheet of paper, and may have some previous printing on the bottom of the paper.
I then took some of the pages and tried on my samsung laser and same behaviour, printing was ok on the top side but on the bottom all greyed out
to me it looks like a security tab, that tells the printer that it should grey out the other side.
I cannot find any reference to this in any of the documentation, so am asking people if they have heard about this.
the tab is a square about 1/2 inch on the edge of the paper.
kind of wierd i think, but if anyone can direct me to any documentation, thanks
