What are the best tweaks to enhance performance in vista home premium?

I've killed the indexing and activated sata hdd performance. What else can I do?

The computer has a core 2 duo processor 2ghz and 2gb of ram

Hey crazy4laptops!!

I came across a new program to do exactly what you want to do.

XP has TweakUI , well this one is called WinBubble and is for Vista.

Give this one a try and see if it does the trick.

hey there! why don't you try this?

go to start button and right click on computer-------then click on properties------system box will pop up--------click on advanced system settings-------say continued-----system properties-------click on settings under performance-----------choose custom-----scroll down and choose last three options ( use bakground... use drop shadows.... use visual styles.........) ------- click apply and say ok

now, you will see much improvement on your system.

good luck!

it's not the vfx that are eating the computer, it's the hard to find windows programs feeding their need/fighting for hard drive access.
