I have had a little luck with last minute trips (and I've never traveled overseas). But our schedules and work require some long lead times and we are using Yapta to track our fares. They claim that if the fare drops below a certain level, you get a refund or rebate or something like that. I've never tested it because God only knows when fuel prices and therefore fares will drop.
