Outlook express keeps freezing on me when I try to receive emails. Sending is fine for some reason and it's only started happening today.

If I reboot my computer OE will download emails but hangs on the last one, freezes, then opens a window saying the program will end because it's not responding, so the last email does not download.

Can anyone help please?:)

Hi Tweak and welcome to the PCWorld Communities. :D

I have a feeling the last email may have an attachment that is too big to send through Outlook Express. I would advise you take a look at that last email and verify that it does or does not have a large attachment. If it does, read the email through your web account and then delete it. You should be fine from then on.

Hi mphenterprises,

Thanks for your kind welcome :D

I did a check on what you suggested and there didn't seem to be a large email. After calling my ISP today it seems my anti-virus program was a being bit aggressive, so hopefully the problem is now fixed.

Thank so much for your help. I love being here, people are so friendly and helpful :D
