I have being trying to use Ad-Aware 2007 free and it is good at detection etc...but i thought i saw that they do a 30 day free trial of Ad-Aware plus 2007 at pcworld.com which i would like to try if it is available..as i might purchase Ad-Aware plus at a later date when i can afford to ...is this true that there is a free trial of the plus version ...i tried to download it but i end up just reinstalling the Ad-Aware 2007 free[as i have no code or anything for registering ]...
maybe i am not eligible...i was just wondering if anyone had any info on trial version of Ad-Aware plus/....if i am not eligible for a free trial of Ad-Aware Plus 2007 or it is not available it does not really matter
thanks

Hey Stu!!
Welcome to PCWorld Community!
Now, I went to investigate your claim of a Free trial period but, could not find any.
You might want to take a look at these reviews which I found on download.com.
http://www.download....4-10045910.html .
From what I could read , the reviewers were not exactly overwhelmed by this product.
If you would like to take the time to read up on some other AntiSpyware
Sunbelt Software : http://www.sunbelt-s...e/Anti-Spyware/ . This one has a 15 day Free trial
A-squared Antimalware : http://www.emsisoft....tware/download/ . This one has a 30 day trial
Now , I have named but a few.
Now ,IF you would like to see what the members of this forum use and why , read this thread

I hope this will help.

does anyone know a good free real time protecion anti-spyware..I use spybot search and destroy and adaware 2007 free but they don't have real time protection ..i won't be able to purchase any for another few weeks...i already unfortunately tried Subbelt trial..i am too broke to purchase anything for a couple of weeks now I am not sure if i used up my A squared anti malware trial last year but will look into it ....so i have decided to try any of the trials of the mainstream antispyware and then when i can afford to i will buy one of them..
thanks for all your help ...

When i went to
www.lavasoft.com/products/ad[uaware[/u]plus.php]
I thought i could download a free trial of Ad-Aware Plus 2007 but when i tried to download it i ended up reinstalling the free version..i then tried to to delete Ad-Aware free and go to
[http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,69424/description.html]
i then tried to download the file again and again i ended up reinstalling Ad-Aware Free as i have no registration code..i have also tried posting on lavasoft support forums but so far it looks like i am not in luck...there is no free trial ....i really must be losing my marbles
Any Advice
i assume i am mistaken about the free trial....i decided to try and give more detail so i could show where i thought i saw free trial...maybe i am going mad...
In the meantime thanks for your info and i will look into the various posts about various real time protection etc etc....i am aiming to try different anti-spyware [both trials and free ware over next few weeks and then perhaps buy one]
thanks to everyone for your help..
