He should definitely try the demo if he loves racing games.
I was able to run the demo at pretty good settings - 1280X1024 at 2x aa . The games is much much better than pro street - graphics are much better and games isnt much far from real. Though i crashed and totalled a couple of times initailly as the controlling is always different between the most racing games but now its going fine. They have implemented the damage factor very well. Each part of the ride takes different amount of damage and performance of car is affected accordingly. That is just wow.

Hey piyush, I forgot to check the platform for that thing. If is for a console ( PS3 ), then I'm sure he'll like it. He isn't much for that kind of stuff on the PC. Just FPS and RTS type stuff mostly, with an occasional RPG thrown in. coastie

Ya its on PS3 also. Gametrailers gave it a 9 on 10. There was a very good gameplay video there but i wasnt able to embed that here. This is the link . One of my fav. cars - the dodge viper in action. No no its not a trailer, its a gameplay video . Earlier i also thought it was a trailer coz of such realness but its not the case. Infact the game features a replay system where at any time and at end of race , entire replay ia available from 3rd person view . Its nice to see your drifts at the end.

OMG i cant wait , when will this come at my nearby store Posted Image

Well, I've got 13 minutes before this bad boy is complete. My first download was stuck in a speed of 78-120 kb/s and it would always change. I had roughly 4 hours till it was finished. I flew over to fileplanet and got a better mirror. :D

Windows XP and the video drivers were what I immediately updated after the BSOD. The installation went through this time.

Oh piffle.. Your graphics card does not support shader 3.0 which is needed by this game. Looks like I need a new video card and a box of tissues.

Seeing as my video card isn't up to date here, I'm downloading Dirt- the off road version from the same company. This will be better than having nothing, but I would have preferred GRID.

I would say bookmark this link. This will come handy whenever you want to see how a game will run on your system.

As far as i remember , DiRT also requires pixel shader 3.0. So check it before you go.

Oh pshaw :p ... I had installed the game before you mentioned the site and the game won't even load. No Shader 3.0 errors or anything. Oh well!
