Hi Piyush. Honestly, I have not had a chance to play the game. There have been rolling power outages around my fiance's apartment so I have been staying there with her this week. I will check it out this weekend. I did however see that G4 rated this as one of the five best racing games. From what I saw from the clips of the game, I love it. I will give you more detail when I can.

np , i was just curious to know how it runs on the quad , as this game takes a lot more cpu cycles than the graphics. Any time you are free , you may try.
btw - the controlling seems to be easy now after a few tries. Thats the same with every racing game.

Hi Piyush. Okay, I finally got a chance to play the game. Unfortunately, I ran into the same issue that Techie did, "Your graphics card does not support Shader 3.0, which is needed by the game."

I checked the README file and here are the compatible video cards:

Supported Graphics Cards:

ATI Radeon X1300, X1600, X1800, X1900, X1950, HD2600, HD2900, HD3870
NVIDIA Geforce 6800, 7100, 7300, 7600, 7800, 7900, 7950, 8600, 8800, 9800

Looks like I will have to enjoy this game through your eyes. That or get another video card.

hi mph. So its the same thing as techie was facing. Most new graphic intensive games require pixel shader 3.0 . the 8600 i have has pixel shader 4.0.
I had taken out some videos from the gameplay as the replay system in the end in this game is awesome. Somehow they got deleted . Otherwise i would have embedded it here.
I uninstalled the demo as it was done, havent purchased this one yet as i took assassins creed instead. Assassins creed truly rocks. I ll embed some from this one in the thread concerning that game.

No worries. In the late Fall or early Winter, I may be able to plan for DreamPC version 2.0 :D Not a major overhaul but some nice improvements.

Hey piyush, After you alerted me to Assassin's Creed, I found I have an e-mail in my other box from UbiSoft on that. Couldn't download the Demo as I didn't have Quicktime and didn't feel like installing it. Ever since MYST, I have followed UbiSoft, as they tend to do a good job and the graphics are usually top shelf. coastie

Nothing is set in stone right now, especially with you know what happening shortly. If I do make the upgrades, I will submit a blog entry.

Hi coastie. As far as i know there is no demo for assassins creed . I saw the gameplay on a friends PC and was impressed and then got the game .The game is actually a masterpiece , i was shocked on seeing the graphics and the AI is good . Fighting can be a bit brutal if you want to make it. I m really enjoying this one. :D
This was my first for this year , I will go for one more this year. I will have to make a difficult choice between GRID or Farcry2 (yet to come).

Hey piyush, In retrospect, it wasn't a demo but a movie of probably the opening of the game. Anyway, no quicktime, no see. coastie

Hello All,

Been reading this website for a long while but just joined up to ask a gaming nostalgia question -- I used to play the Final Fantasy original game years and years ago and was wondering do they make that original game for the computer?

I remember enjoying the game so very much but now I can't even remember how to play.

Anyone help me find this game (if it exists) so I can travel down memory-road?

Regards,

JJArms --> Who hear remembers this doll... er... action figure?

Hey JJ and welcome to the forum. The only platform for Final Fantasy was and is the Play Station as far as I know with the exception of Final Fantasy XI Online for the PC. coastie65

Not all final fantasy. The main one's yes, but Final Fantasy III the one that was 3 in Japan and they ported it to the Nintendo DS. Which is a great game by the way. I have also seen Final Fantasy Tatics for the DS, oh and theres that one comming out for the Wii..Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

This is the opening for Final Fantasy 3 on the DS <3 this game. Its the only FF that I know of that you don't switch characters out of. You stay with the same 4 the entire time but can change their jobs. Tghe gameplay is much like the original games before Final Fantasy 7.

You know what I had a game too before for the game boy advanced Final Fantasy 1 and 2 the Dawn Souls I played on the DS. Mostly 1 before I lost it.
