Hi,
I recently got a XFX 780i board.

After installing it there is few major problems it has.

1) I get a P1 error in the error display thing (fixed by messing around with the battery; the battery is not weak i changed the battery it still the same.)

2) If I put in all 4 of the RAM sticks (1gig ea) i get a C1 error (if it get pass the P1 error )

3) Very time I install my Vista Ultimate x64 after i restart it give me the blue screen (it says something like, about need to update video card driver and something about not enough hard drive space) I download the XFX 8800GTS 320MB driver from the www.xfxforce.com website (which is updated)(Does the card need to be in the 3rd slot since it a none 2.0 PCI-E slot?). and i got 150GB 10,000RPM 16MB cache hard drive. (I get this error everytime after I restart from installing Vista with or without driver installed)

All these components work perfectly in my old board the Abit IP PRO35.

Spec:

Q6600 @ 2.4GHz

4 x 1GB PC2 6400 (not sli ready)

XFX 780i Board

Western Digital Raptor X 150GB 10,000RPM

FSD 700Watt power supply

XFX 8800GTS 320MB

Hi Scraber. Normally we ask individuals to post each issue in separate Discussions to make sure each gets the full attention it deserves. However, since you stated that, "All these components work perfectly in my old (mother)board the Abit IP PRO35." I would almost bet that this motherboard is faulty.

The only thing I can suggest, other than a faulty motherboard, is take out one of the 1GB RAM memory chips and see if you still get the C1 error. That being said, I think you may want to investigate a replacement to this motherboard from the retailer.

To answer one question, that video card needs to be in the 2.0 PCI-E slot, of which there are two on that MOBO. The other PCI-E slot is 1.0. coastie65

Okay, the BSoDs are identical except for the STOP Error Message, and even those are identical except for the first string of numbers.

Please refer to this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article. Within it, you will find a lengthy list of suggestions to try. My suggestion before you attempt anything: strip everything down, everything, and start again. If you get the same BSoD STOP Error Message, then follow the suggestions laid out within the article.
