Hi,

I have (without knowing how, wouldn't you know) managed to shut myself out of all but the most basic computer settings (such as shifting wallpaper) to removing programs, to, obviously, looking at/changing access. At the slightest attempt, I get an annoyed:

which translates roughly as: "The action has been canceled due to limitations of the computer. Please contact the System Administrator."But...that's me! Can anyone tell me whats wrong? Couldn't be a bug as I had both AVG and Spybot running and have run full scans with both since, could it?
Yet when start in Protected Mode I have full access. Puhleeze...help...this is serfdom!

Hi Pikachu. Okay, for whatever reason, your User Account may have become corrupted. I gather when you say, "Protected Mode" you mean Safe Mode, is that correct?

My first suggestion to you is to:

- Go back into Safe Mode and create another User Account with Administrative rights

- While in Safe Mode, run all of your security scans again

- Restart your computer as normal and log into Windows from that new User Account

- Verify that all Administrative level function work within that new User Account

Once you have verified that all is well, follow the steps within {document:id=1370} to copy all the files and folder from the corrupted User Account into the new User Account.
