I have a 5 year old Dell.. All of a sudden a few days ago, clicking on a http:// url (or hyperlink. I don't know the difference) in Excel gives a box with a Microsoft Excel generated message: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.
Ok, I contacted me since I'm the administrator and I didn't know. The problem is in Excel only. It affects all of my Excel files , even the ones I used to be able to click on. I can click on and go to links in Outlook, on websites, etc.
It's a home PC and I'm the only user. Windows XP operating system. What caused the sudden change? Maybe my question should be "what did I do to change that function?"
Thanks.
