hello pcw members

All of you must be aware of the acronis trueimage software . You can get a free license for the personal edition which has a few less options than the pro edition but it is sufficient .

!New Bitmap Image.bmp!

The above screen was there when i installed it and it mentions the function available which are sufficient for backing up.

Just follow this link and follow the instructions there. It is a legitimate process and give you one license key for the personal edition. I have obtained the key myself and the software works fine. This must be a time limited offer , so hurry.

I found this offer yesterday , so I thought of sharing this with you all.

Hey Piyush!!

Thankx for the info. I will certainly take advantage of this offer.

Was just in the process of backing up my music collection

on Dual-Layer DVD.

Might now change to Acronis.

Thank You Piyush.

Hey Piyush!!

Just one question ? When you do a back-up with Acronis or any other.

How do you know you are not also backing-up Malware.

I , normally , will use DVDs or Dual-Layer DVDs to back-up

my important files and if I need to replace any of my software

I can do a full scan on the DVD before I replace anything.

Is it possible to do the same with this type of software?/?

hi flash
you will have to make sure that the system is clean before making any backups . Normally the type of backup that will be beneficial with acronis will be complete partition backup or entire drive backup as it has the capability to do so. Like i currently made a backup for windows partition and the application partition on the secondary drive and it took around half the original space at normal compression. I am looking to get an additional HDD for the other PC(vista) for a complete drive clone backup.

[~22087] has always cloned his drives and he has been telling others to do so also. Maybe he can give some more tips on using acronis as far as your query is concerned.
