hi adama
that was interesting. I don't know how they have so clearly fixed future dates . The content was good. One of the lines in the end was "epic is what we chose". And was this incorrect ?

Hi Piyush,
I think the whole thing is about stipulating what can/might happen in the very near future, if we continue on the path we are on. ?:|
EDIT ~ CONGRATS on your 1,300 post, Piyush!

It mainly focuses on google. If they go unchecked it might be true in near future. I had read an article in some tech magazine about the same . It claimed that google has more info than any other organization about all its users. Now with the google grid being talked about , and so many google services being launched and the acquisition strategy also being used wherever possible , where is the privacy gone ?
People always talk about the large $ in msft and no one even talks about google . Why ? coz they aren't taking anything directly from your pocket. The large bandwidth that google eats away from its services is much more $ than any other such organization. Google started as a search engine , which is undoubtedly the best and is used by all. Other services included aren't that good , but people are lured to use them. Just think about it. How many google services do you use in you daily life. I use only google search, a bit of google maps, thats it. But most people use more than that.
Just have a look at these :

The above three are the most widely used google services after google search. What is common among then apart from the fact that they are google services . I have highlighted that in all three snips. All 3 are still in beta. Each of these is about 3-4 yrs old and all still in beta. LOL. I am not using any of these beta services . I don't know why others are using.

Thanks Piyush, that's a very informative post.
Me? well I try to stay away from Google as much as I can, I don't know why. I always use Yahoo to search for stuff, and only use Google as a very last resort. I actually don't think about searching with Google, to tell you the truth.
A few months ago I was going to sign up for a GMail account, but I read about a lot of people being redirected to another page when trying to sign up for GMail that turned out to be a phishing scam, and would take their information, etc. So I decided against it. And will hold off on getting a GMail account until Google can solve this problem.

Hello Jim,
I had no prior knowledge about "1984". So I found this on Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four
Very interesting.
