The June 08 article in PC World provided good suggestions about handling subscription services. I have an additional suggestion to how to avoid annual renewal charges to your credit card without your approval. CitiBank Mastercard (I'm sure others provide this service as well) allows you to create virtual account numbers when you make online charges. The advantage of this is that the number expires in 1 month. This prevents the vendor from renewing your subscription without your approval.
