Yeah, I know there are plenty of hardware differences. That's what the client software is designed to take advantage of.

1.) Xbox has more games and units sold
-Xbox was released one year before the Playstation. The fact that the PS3 is catching up goes to show that people are realizing the PS3's potential. Also one year is also a fair amount of time to produce more games. Whether these games are any good are debateable. Also lots of games are cross platorm. Also the PS3's exclusive titles are better then the 360's exclusives.
2.) Xbox has a better online world
-First off you pay for this online world, whereas the PS3 you dont. Perhaps the 360's online world is better but is it $60 better? Also the PS3's online world is improving. With the advent of home coming out, the better 360 online experience will finally be put to rest.
3.) PS3 is too expensive:
- is it really? The standard 360 comes with a 20gb hardrive, no wireless, +$60 (online) retail price $350. The PS3 includes wireless, BLU-RAY, 40GB hardrive, no fee online retail price of $399. Does saving 50 bucks justify the amount you are missing out?
More arguements for a PS3
The PS3 is far more superior techologically then the xbox 360. Sure games look the same now, but when game graphics grow, and physics engines need more power, the PS3 will be able to handle it with its POWERFULL 8X Cell Processor and blu-ray capacity, whereas Microsoft will be looking to make a new console. The Ps3 is future proof.
There are more advantages to the PS3 then the xbox. the only reason why the 360 fan boys refuse to give up is because they do not want to resent their purchase and secrelty know they should have invested in a PS3.
Thank You.
PS: The ps3 can output at 1080p, whereas the 360 can output only at 720p.

you PS is wrong, the XBOX 360 DOES output 1080p for its games just like the PS3
also, the DVD upscaler in the XBOX360 bumps up all DVDs to 1080i, which is virtually indescernable from 1080p, add on the fact that DVDs are $5 to $7 and Bluray discs are $20 to $25, and you can see why the Bluray feature isn't eactly making PS3s fly off the shelves (in fact Blu ray discs are selling very poorly overall)
finally, my roomates and I own both boxes so don't label me as a fanboy, but in all fairness we play the XBOX 360 5x more often...just saying

As much as PS3 owners hate to admit it, the Xbox 360 is the better system at this point. That's not to say that the PS3 won't surpass it in the future, but right now it's better. The Wii is far far ahead of both of them in sales...but that's because it's not so much a gaming console as it is a toy. I own a Wii myself and it's certainly entertaining, but it's not what I turn to when I want to do some serious gaming.
And I hate it when people use the excuse that "The Xbox 360 was out a year before the PS3, that's the only reason blah blah blah". Yes it was out a year earlier, and bravo to MS for doing that. I was playing Xbox games happily for a full year before anyone could even play PS3 games. That was part of their strategy, and it worked. Don't use it as a crutch for the PS3's lackluster performance, because it's not valid.
Along with that, the Xbox 360 DOES have a better online environment. And yes, in my opinion, it is worth the $60 per year ($5 a month) for that service. It's just head and shoulders above either of the other system's online capabilities. Maybe PS3 will have a chance to shake it when "Home" comes out...but that's been delayed how many times now?
The PS3 does have the superior technology, and in time it may actually make use of it. But right now, most cross-platform games look BETTER on the 360 than they do on the PS3 (see gamespot's comparison here: www.gamespot.com/features/6191251/index.html). And on top of that, I think the 360 has better exclusives as well. MGS4 is a great boon for the PS3, and will surely help the console grow. But that and Killzone 2 are the only exclusives I can even think of that make the console worth buying. So I don't think buying a console to play 2 games (1 which isn't even out yet) is justifiable.
Oh and as for Blue-Ray...it will be a close race, but I still think online digital distribution (eg. Apple TV, Netflix's new box, etc) will surpass it before it can get too far.

I haven't touched it in 6 months, maybe even a year.

At this point I am going to take a neutral tone. It does not matter what you buy, in the end you will be happy. The ps3 is a complete package, and the xbox 360 is a gamers delight. Both have HD graphics, both have a good online component, both can be used as media streamersetc....
I think what will happen is, both consoles will continue to be popular, and developers will make more cross-platform games (so they can tap into both markets) instead of exclusives, in the end it is the end user who has to weigh the pros and cons of both systems. Boths systems have their pro's and con's. Even if you are a fanboy and say that one console not flawed at all, then I cant help u see reason. All we can hope for is that the shortcomings of our respective consoles are made better by their respective companies.
The only difference is, Blu-Ray (PS3), more games (xbox 360). You choose?

P.S. Xbox is a great maching. But it's already run through most of it's exclusive titles and PS3 has barely touched on their back catalog. PS3 outsold 360 again this past month and that's all without the back catalog. When they do tap into it 360 sales are going to plummet.
