Hey coastie!!
You know, that's not a bad idea! At least a Padlock. This would be
helpful. I then, would not be tempted in answering and get into
hot water with the Mods.LOL! But seriously, it would be whatever
you want it to be , just put a marking so we know. Now, is this too
much to ask?

Hey coastie!!
What do you mean you "were being a wise guy". Aren't you always?
OK, enough cracks. But, what do you think my chances are of getting
something to give notice of a Locked Thread ?/? First of all , it would
be informative and second , the members taking a look would also see
what is and what is NOT appropriate subjects. Now you just know that
if you put something besides a thread that people ARE going to take a look.

Hi Flash!
Again, I agree that your idea is a very useful, and valid one. The padlock and key could be RED if the thread was locked because it was an inappropriate topic.
And, if the thread was locked for everything else, then it could be regular GOLD color.
What do you think?
I sure hope that Kristina is checking this thread. It's shock-full of really, really good ideas.... and growing.

Hi All!
Yep! I'm checking this thread. And I will fwd the suggestions for functionality, etc. You bet. We'll see what we can do here. These are some terrific suggestions! I cannot guarentee implementation, but I will dip in here and we'll do all we can. Sounds great! I'll keep you posted.
Thanks, Kristina

Dont' get me wrong, these are the best forums ever, but I always like to see improvement.
Wish: To be able to make polls such that voters can cast more than one vote
It would make it easier for those who have more than one answer.

That sounds like a good wish for our Wishlist, Number6.

Ooops, I just thought about something.... maybe it's not really such a good idea, because people can abuse that option for their own dastardly deeds... LOL
For example, when Kellie started the T Shirt contest and some of us entered a design? Well, maybe one of us who didn't have enough votes would have voted more than once for their own design?... know what I mean...?

Yeah, voting multiple times could be a problem. What I had in mind, though, was being able to choose multiple options in one vote. For example, there was a poll recently that asked what speed internet everyone had. If someone has multiple internet connections he could choose multiple answers while voting only once. That wouldn't be quite as versatile, but it might prevent cheating that way.

I have another one to add.
WISHLIST - Make the Community Standards easy to find, like on the 1st page of the Community, so people can refer to them easily.
Today I was looking for them and I couldn't find them. I think they're in a Document or something, but if they are, they're probably buried somewhere in the underbelly of PCW server.
Let's make it easier, people! :p
EDIT - This wish has been fulfilled! :p

They're at the bottom of any page on PCWorld or the forums and when you want to reference them you can just drag the link into your post as I'm about to do.
