Defragging - How long does it take you?

Mine just took 15 Min. But, I cheat.
1. I have no data on the drive, just Vista Home Premium and the applications.
2. It is set to automatically defrag all drives (Vista, XP, Win2K) at 1:00 AM every Wednesday.
3. Only 43 GB of the 160 GB drive has files, the other 117 GB is unoccupied.
4. All data is on my networked drive.
As for how long it takes normally -

1!
Reason - I'm usually in bed. It's what I like about Vista's defragging, out of sight, out of mind.

Ok, i'm going to jump put of the question forum for once and answer this one too lol. I have 3 Sepperate HD's, 2 1tb drives and one 150gig 10krpm drive. out of all that space the 150 gig is 20% free and since the 1tbs are mirrored the free space is little more than half. I start defragging (once a month) using vista's crap at 9pm. when i wake up at 6am it's almost 60% done, when it finishes i don't know, i'm not here to see it nor never paid attention to it. the 150gig though, it's done in about 25-30 minutes.

Hi Chromium, Whew!!! I would imagine those two Tb drives would take a while to defrag. To be honest, I ran sort of a cheater defrag as I didn't have any red, so the files weren't really all that fragmented to begin with. :D I just did it to placate the ones who wanted me to time it. :D coastie

Phew! You win this one, Chromium!
Maybe if you do your Defragging more often than once a month, it would take less time. That's what was happening to me, now my Defragging time is waaay less than it used to be.
