Hi Boel and welcome to the PCWorld Communities. :D

Since the Discussion you previously posted this message within is active (idle for about 3 months), I have branched your issue into its own Discussion. Even though your situation may appear to be similar, it is always best to open your own Discussion and allow as many of our members an opportunity to review your problem. Latching onto an active Discussion could potentially either take focus away from the current issue or leave your concern on the back burner.

Now, my answer to your question would only be speculation since I have never actually used RadioTracker but I would gather that the application does not download files twice. Do you have a specific issue you would like to share with us or were you only asking for hypothetical purposes?

Hy again,

I'm sorry for posting in the wrong post, I was just navigating on this forum and I found interesting the discussion about this tool and after I googled around for some infos about it but I didn't find anywhere if it downloads the same track twice. BTW, I've already took its demo version and I saw that its features are useful and nice.

Great. Thanks for the information. Please stick around and provide any assistance you can in other areas as well. If a member has a question about RadioTracker, you can be our resident consultant for that. :D

Hi boel,

Welcome, I'm not that old here on the forum either, but have been using Radiotracker for a while.

It can happen that Radiotracker brings twice a certain song. This takes place because the Info to the songs differ (meaning that Title or Artist Name are not exactly the same). I think that Radiotracker recognizes tracks after the tags and if they differ a little bit, it can happen that in the end you have the same track several times. This doesn't occur often though.

Something that you can do is to go to the Options Panel, Filer tab and check the option "Keep only the best copy of each track".

Hope I could be of help, take care

Thanks for the tip, I've done what you said and I think it's great, but, unfortunately, it has limitations as I took its demo version. I'm thinking in future to buy it cause it's useful and so I don't have to spend money every time I hear a new song.
