Cannot Delete Duplicate Photos in 'My Pictures' Folder

Somehow in setting up a new computer and transfering photos, I have a number of duplicates in one file. I can't seem to deleate the extras. ASs I deleate, they get added back in duplicate and triplicate.


Does anyone have any idea of how I can defeat this deleate?

What o/s is your computer running? Xp, vista?
what method are you using to delete? delete key? shift+delete? drag and drop to the recyle bin?

I'm using XP Pro and I'm attempting to delete using the delete key.Your help is appreciated.
