Avoid Installing Windows Genuine Advantage

I do not recall an admonition to install SP1 before SP2. I just checked my MS SP2 upgrade disc and it does not mention a requirement to be at SP1 first. However, I have never been at the original XP level anyway, starting with SP1, upgrading to XP in 2003 a year after SP1 was released.

I do remember that at some point, MS updates from the update site would no longer be offered if you did not have SP1 at least. SP2 was much more than the simple compilation of accumulated updates, and they may not have required SP1.
