I have Webroot SpySweeper and Trend MicroAntiVirus. I run scans once a week, but on separate days.

I also use Defender, and I run that once a week as well.

.Windows defender is not recommended by anyone here , so disable it also.

Hi Piyush,

I run Windows Defender. It may not do as much as my other programs do, but I feel better by having it and using it on a regular basis.

Also, I think it's up to the individual person to decide whether to keep a program like Defender or not.

Whether it's recommended by anyone here or not, I do not agree that it would be better to disable it.

Some programs just don't work very well and are better to not have on your computer. Which is why I think he said that. I would agree with him. Its a little useless. :( A combination of reasons the more you have on your computer unnecessarily the more holes possibly available (long shot but its still a point), also the memory a program will use up while running on your computer.

Hey Aurora. I guess those are enough reasons to disable defender and save some rsources. :)

hey man, noting works, ive tried it all!! there is only one way to get rid of that virus....... restor your pc to factory setting (format). do not make backups of any folders cuz the virus jumps from folder to folder. if you do.. the virus will be back. you are gona ave to do your pc all over from the start. avg anti virus picks up the virus but does not get rid of it.good luck man. ive lost everything.
