I'm looking for an online store that sells win xp really cheap $60-$85. Any thoughts?

my problem lies in that the dell oem xp cd that came with the computer doesn't like the new mobo/cpu i installed it on. It rejects the product key and wants to be activated.

New hardware-
mobo and cpu
hdd

same-
video card, cd-rom, ram, and floppy

Hey crazy4laptops!!

I have found at Newegg a couple that would fit your budget.

If you don't live in the States then you're outaluck.

Newegg, XP Home .

And there is also TigerDirect but, about 4 bucks too much.

TigerDirect XP Home .

That's all I could find. That doesn't mean that there are no other places to still get XP.

If it was the CD that came from Dell, it may be looking for a Dell signature in the BIOS, that of course is not there. The referenced XP SP2 OEM Home is the cheapest alternative.

You better hope it hasn't been activated.

Hi Crazy. If you are going to bid on this auction, please send me a PM with a link to the auction. I have spent enough time in eBay to give you a good idea of what you may be getting into.
