Kids? Only "kids" in this house have four legs. BTW - no offspring either.

Rain - I'm glad for you. But come December, when it's 70 degrees out and pleasant, I will think of you when the Blizzard passes through. :^0

Happy Retirement! Sorry that I'm a bit late to the party.

I have a ton of volunteer work that I'd love to do when I'm retired. But since I'm only 32, that will be a long ways from now!

I think he may have mean't Oct. 1. Not everybody uses the other dating style. I do out of a habit from my service days, as the military uses the Day, Month, Year style of dating. They also base messages on " ZULU " time which is GMT ( Greenich Mean Time ) which is the time at 0 degrees Longitude and exactly opposite (180 Degrees ) of the International Dateline.

Adama -
My alarm clock used to be set for 6:30 so I could leave the house at 7:30, it took 30 minutes to get to work. Now my alarm clock is set for 8:00, and it takes me about 15 minutes to get to the computer after putting the dogs out and getting breakfast.

Haven't started reading the books yet, my To Do list is too long at this point.

Kellie -
I will pass on a comment made to me by the Senior Patrol Leader (youth) of the Troop I was working with when I was stationed in Norfolk, Va. He was 16 at the time and I was over at their house, (his dad was the Scoutmaster) discussing Troop activities, and I don't exactly what the context was, but he described me as "middle aged". I was taken aback - I was 26 at the time.

It just goes to show everything is relative. I can remember when I thought anyone over 30 was "old" (I was a kid), then when I reached 30, I found it was young and anyone over 60 was old. Now I have again re-adjusted my parameters, anyone under 18 is an infant, anyone under 40 is a kid, anyone over 80 is old.

So - kid how are things in the big SF these days?

Well then, maybe Coastie is right. I was trying to stay ahead of the game because I know that some of you guys use your dates differently. And, Flashorn put me through the wringer trying to guess his BDay date... LOL

So you're 10/1 meaning October 1st. Not Jan.10. Correct?

Well this morning I was in the community. Then I was racing a rain squall to get the grass cut before it hit. Now I'm back on the community. I've got the diswasher going, the washing machine going and that's about it. Quiet and Peaceful, with a large dog snoring behind me. For a while, this will by my bliss.
