I have a pre-installed WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2 in my pc. How will i know if it's genuine?

Visit this link . Click on validate windows button and let it check itself.
You should have a COA sticker pasted somewhere on the PC as it was pre-installed.
If you see the COA and need more info then navigate to this link. Follow on screen instructions.

I don't know what happens if the validate test fails but the WGA(windows genuine advantage) helps in quickly getting a validated copy of windows.

then get internet? Your not going to be able to do much with a computer if you have no internet access unless your doing it at an internet cafe.

You can follow the suggestions of either Lil or Piyush to verify the validity of your Windows Operating System when you are in the internet cafe. If I may ask, why the concern? Did you purchase this computer from a third party instead of a store or the manufacturer?

um, I bought my PC from an certified pc shop but with no O.S installed, so I searched for a technician to install it and forgot to ask if it is genuine.
