Does anyone have any idea which software I could use to synchronize two computers which are not connected through LAN or internet?

I have two computers NOT CONNECTED through internet or LAN. Therefore, I can't use standard synchronizing software, since it usually requires to have both computers available in the same time. I need to synchronize some 80 GB so I can't just simple copy all files to a USB flash disk or DVD and synchronize with them. I don't have an external harddisk and I don't want to buy one.

I am looking for a software which would worked similarly to this:

1. make "a snapshot" of a folder and its subfolders and files at a computer 1

2. take the snapshot to a computer 2 and make a compare

3. in results I would see differences

4. according to results I could tell the software to: a) delete files which were removed at the computer 1, b) decide which way should be copied changed files, c) copy new files. All the new or changed files would be copied to a specified folder. Then, I could copy the folder to flash disk or DVD.

5. I would take the flash disk or the DVD with files and with actualized snapshot to the computer 1 and I would use the software to synchronize again.

I found one software called Advanced Flash Synchronizer (www.urltoy.com/afs.htm) with similar functionality, but it enables to compare by timestamp and filesize only. I would prefer more comprehensive check of changed files, maybe by CRC or MD5 check.

Does anyone know about a software like that?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi!

I have been using this software for about 10 years. Old, clunky, but functional, and still available:

- Directory Match Utility|
| |Originally written as a Windows replacement for the PC Magazine Utility
Dirmatch, WingDir provides a simple and
easy-to-use method for maintaining directories by displaying them side
by side with file names aligned.|

Send me youe email and I will email you an old PC Magazine freebie software called "twofer" (no longer available on their website) that instantly produces two windows explorer screens side by side on your monitor - you can then visually compare and decide. Slow, but accurate.
