Hi Doner. First, I have changed your Discussion title to give a clearer indication of your question. For future reference, please be as descriptive as possible in both the heading of your Discussion as well as the post itself.
Now, The information you have provided to this point really does not tell us anything or give us any type of direction to troubleshoot your concern. Do you mean that google.com used to be your home page but now aol.com is your home page? Is that what you mean? If so, you can simply switch it back. Since you did not indicate what browser you use, please follow these steps to update your home page:
Internet Explorer:
- Click on Tools -> Internet Options
- Under the General tab, you should see a section for Home Page. Simply type in the web address for google. You can copy and paste this address into that section {noformat}http://www.google.com{noformat}
- Click Apply and then Click OK
Firefox:
- Click on Tools _> Options
- Under the Main section, you will see a section called Startup
- type in the web address for google. As listed above, you can copy and paste this address into that section {noformat}http://www.google.com{noformat}
- Click OK
If this is not what you meant, please clarify your concern.

Hey doner!!
Welcome to PCWorld Community!
If you have AOL Desktop Search installed on your Vista computer,
DO NOT USE IT, This desktop search engine is not compatible with
Vista. It is meant to be installed on a XP or 2000 computer.
To UNINSTALL go to : Start , Control Panel , Programs and Features.
Click on the last one and you will see a window with all of your programs installed.
LOOK for AOL Desktop Search and click once on it . At the top of the window
you should see a UNINSTALL. After clicking once on the AOL program, click
on the Uninstall and Windows will delete the program. This is what you will see: !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/

Once the AOL is uninstalled , you can then , Install the Google Search Engine.
