A supplier of mine gave me a usb memory stick as a gift. It unfortunately auto runs flash ads for their company each time I insert it.

I disabled auto run on the usb so it does not, but the flash ads/software are still sucking up memory space on the stick (which shows up as two letters/drives by the way)

How can I nuke this nagware off the usb? Evrything I try to do denies me (I have even tried making all the nag files NOT read only)

Thanks!

Hi

For the autorun , go to explorer and enable hidden folders view and also the system files view. next navigate to your USB drive abd you will see the autorun.inf file there. Deleting this file will prevent the annoying startup things but it wont free up the space.

Some more info is needed to provide any further suggestions.

* Go to disk management and post what you see there for the USB stick .

* Format the USB drive through explorer and then see the drive properties and post that.

plz backup yur files on the USB drive before format
