I need help with new video card settings to play WOW or Titan Quest, do I have to uninstall ny FX5700-LE Drivers or just update? what and how do i change the settings? thanks for any help you can give me

Uninstall the drivers for old card completely from add/remove. Do a reboot and then install the new drivers for Geforce6800. Make sure you download the latest drivers from the website rather than using the driver disc that came with the card. The latest drivers are available here .

As for the settings , i m not sure what exactly are you asking. Are you asking for game specific settings or nVIDIA control center settings ?

Hi trog, In addition to what piyush has said, Nvidia has a general setup procedure which isn't tech intensive, just some things to do. One of which is a setting relating to the Quality / Performance aspect. The best thing to do is go neutral and leave the slide in the middle between the two. usually though, you really don't have to mess with it at all, unless you are a tinkerer who likes to really fine tune things. As for the games, when the games are installed or in some cases a new Video Card, when you first run the game it will detect the video card and adjust the settings accordingly. Bottom line is, once you have installed the card & drivers, there is really nothing to do unless you are a perfectionist and want to tinker and fine tune. It might run you through a brief setup type thing, but it really isn't a big deal. coastie65
