My Review of the Article Regarding Megazoom Digital Cameras

It was a nice article. It was useful because I was about to buy one. D-SLR was too heavy and I am not happy enough with my Canon P/S. Thanks for the article.

But I find the articles and the ratings not perfectly consistent. For example, in the article, the reviewer implies that the battery life of FZ18 is not good (I forgot the exact wording), but the rating says that the battery life is "Superior". How can it be possible. I also notice that Canon S5IS receives "superior" picture quality, but the reviewer mentions a number of problems with the quality. I guess it's the problem of reviews and ratings done independently, but I hope they are less confusing.

Also it's hard to understand why FZ18, with "very good" picture quality and "good" design ends up receiving such a high score (it's tied to the editors' choice of a lot more expensive Olympus unit!!). I know it's an articraft of the various numbers but at least it was confusing to me.

Anyway, I enjoyed reading the article. Keep good work!
