Hello all,
I would like to try a quad boot system. I have backup disk images of
Win98se, WinMe, XP, and Unbantu 7.4. I have a older P4 3.0ghz, 1gb mem,
200gig HD not doing anything. I made all back up images from this
machine with Aronis True Image 10.
I could fdisk the drive into 4
partitions, use Aronis True Image to restore each of the OS images to
the separate partitions. But what about a boot loader, so I can choose
which OS to run? If I make XP the last image to restore, and put in the
first partition, will the system boot to XP? Then I can install a boot
loader from xp. I do not know enough about Linux to use it's boot
loader(grub is it?) I could use Vistaboot.exe as my boot loader. I
currently use that on my main machine for XP/Vista.
I know this sounds kind-of crazy, but why not, it's just for fun to see if it can be done easily.
Thanks
