Hi Snorg, I know you said you wanted a rainbow in the sky. I must have looked through about 100 pics of rainbows and they were all beautiful, but kind of pale, and too far away in the distance for my taste.

I even looked at a few websites where they have Rainbow Art, and they had some gorgeous prism-rainbows, but darn it, ALL of them had watermarks all over the pics, so I couldn't even be sneaky and snip a part of one of them, for this project.

So when I saw the picture of the rainbow within the clouds, it kind of gave me goose pumps. That's why I chose it.

And, for the wings... I originally had put different wings on Chico, but I wasn't too happy with them because they looked too flat. So I went searching for Angels.

On the 4th website I visited, I found a collection of beautiful Angels. They too were watermarked - but it was only one watermark in each pic instead of a bunch. So I was able to take a snip of a few Angels. And I loved the position of the Angel with these wings... Lo and behold, as soon as I made the layer and put them behind Chico, they fit perfectly!

I just didn't know if you were going to like the effects I put in the picture. So, I'm glad you liked it, and you're welcome, my friend. For you, any time.

Sorry, for the long rant, BTW. :x

Doncha just love it when they watermark the heck out of those things. Sure puts the kibosh on snipping, or in my case outright snatching.

In general its technically illegal to use copyrighted photos for stuff, its good to look up pics in the public domain there are plenty out there. Of course, for signatures and stuff its not a huge deal and I don't think I've ever seen it enforced.

I hope you have fun in the class. When I was in school they had a graphic and media arts program some of my classmates were in, they made an etching on a mirror it was pretty cool I bought myself a KoRN one off of someone.

You sure they didn't use an abacus. When I started I think my first grade class was the first ever to have a keyboarding class. I liked it a lot. The computer classes got a little boring sometimes though, seeing as for some reason in highschool they felt the need to have a learn how to get around the internet class.. ? lol They were like ok bring up the address bar and type in http:// I was on the net since I think around 91 so I was like..... ....... ..... really? lol Spent most of that class surfing.

Hi Lil, I'm so glad you're taking a graphics class.

I think that if you stick with it, you'll find that you'll really like creating stuff, specially with video and web design thrown in. That'll be a big feather on your cap, for sure.

Which game do you like and play? I'll make a sig for you from one of them.

Oh Aurora, you're welcome! I am much, much happier with the way this one came out.

When I made the first one I didn't know how to feather images, so after I learned how to do it, I kept wanting to remake your graphic. And, I also learned a new way of extracting an image, so I think the roses came out a lot better too. The frame works, I think, because it gives the graphic a sense of completion, IMO.

So, NP, go ahead an use the direct link from PB.... hmmm isn't that the way it's supposed to be, though?

And, ah luvz your buddies too! :x

:^0 An Abacus ? We were a little more advanced than that, :^0 . When I was in the Far East that is what they used to ring up sales with.
