Attach Contact item in Outlook 2003

I am trying to send a reply to an e-mail with attached Contact item using Attach->Item, then selecting a Contact item from my Contact folder. The result is that the Contact item was sent and converted as a message attachment, and the e-mail itself, although HTML format message when sent, the message arrived in Text format. How to correct it?

I'm using XP.
