Comcast's actions will not affect snooping, information is a salable commodity. They will continue to dig deep into our privacy.
The only change is now comcast can use the cell phone model and pick our pockets even deeper as they continue information harvesting.

Comcast is actually telling intellectual property (IP) lawyers that it accepts liability for copyright infringements by its users (customers), where only the user was held to be liable.
The telephone company (a/k/a service provider) used to claim that it could not be held liable for obscene or crank callers since it just provided the pipes and did not monitor what went through them, nor was it obligated to do so.
Now that argument goes out the window, since Comcast willingly says it will invade its users' privacy, and probably because Comcast itself may not just be in the container (pipes) business, but also because it pays for content (through subsidiaries) as well and sees IP violations as an attack on its bottom line.
This will bite Comcast in the proverbial *ss though. It will keep a database on users of sites visited, which will be hacked, and users' private info will be published on the Internet. A new set of lawyers will then fill up the law court seats.

At 60, comcast is one company that I do not trust.
Where are they going to put the dash board that you can see how much band width you are using? Want to bet they make it hard to find.
I would guess that their next thing is to limit how much tv you can watch or how many phone calls that you can have.
While going through my email I have to go back and forth with errors on their system causing me to use more band width. They are no longer for the customer.
I have been a cable customer since viacom owned this network and it was the best system then. AT&T took it down a notch and comcast is about to finish the job of ruining the cable service.
We need a different cable company. When is comcast going to have to share the cable lines like AT&T must share the phone lines?
