I use XP Picture and Fax Viewer, I use Disk Clean-up and go to Internet Options / Internet Properties and delete files, delete cookies, and delete history repeatedly over the day as not to collect garbage. If I go to My Pictures and view pictures, use the forward or back arrows, I see my whole picture collection one at a time. I don't have a problem with that. If I send an E-Mail with a pic, view it with the viewer, I see every commercial and piece of garbage that has been looked at on the web if the same arrows are used....... What's up with this and how can I view an E-Mail pic without all of the history ????? Settings where ?? Properties where ??? Preferences where ???? Or is this just a MS / XP thing and can not be changed ?? Can someone please explain ??? Thanks. ?:| X-(

use a different image viewing program

if you have microsoft office, use the picture manager

The reason is that all files downloaded to display webpages are stored in a temp folder.

Try firefox (it'll download pictures to the desktop) or let you choose a program to open the file
