if there is one game that stands out the most, it would have to be this game. gosh! i remember playing this game vividly for the first time ever back in 1985 computer class. some days i would stay after school and play it. what i can't figure out is why i never rescued princess sabrina. maybe childhood A.D.D. didn't allow me to sit very long. ha! there is never a game i start today that i do not complete and this one in particular needs to be finished, Transylvania. yeah, 23 years later and i still do not feel complete. i've been searching for this DOS game everywhere and to no luck, I cannot find it. some places have it listed but no copies available.

well that's my brief gaming childhood experience so please by all means contribute and tell us what was your all time favorite game or your very first gaming title. all age groups welcomed.

thanks for reading.

i would have to say that my first game that I remember playing was DRIVER for APPLE IIE...

you "steered" a little block car between two lines made up of text and symbols, and as the game progressed, it got tighter and tighter, and if i remember right, the car would get longer.

i havent played that game since 2nd grade, mainly because we left all the copies we had made back at my grade school.

now that i am 16, an have an apple IIe again, ill probably try to find a copy, and do some massive converting to get it from usb or a zip file onto a 3.5" floppy, transfer the file from that to my mac classic, and from there to an apple IIe floppy diskette.

my first windows game was DUKE NUKEM, which was on our first computer. we used to play it straight in windows 3.1, and after a few weeks, became quite addicted with it. i havent found a full version of that game anywhere either, but it gave me some great memories.

The first Video game I remember playing was Pong and then Space Invaders. As for Transylvania and Crimson Crown, I still have both for the Commodore 64. I completed Transylvania, but got stuck in Crimson Crown ( Transylvania II ). Oh Yeah, I still have a Commodore 128 system to play them on.

I remember playing number munchers a lot. However I believe my first game either was on the atari (the regular pitfall some other games who's names elude me.) Or on the old tandy in the 80's I played frogger from a giant floppy lol.

I remember Frogger and Pitfall. Both started as Arcade games before going to the home in one form or another. I still have a bunch of stuff on the 5 1/4" Floppy disk for the Commodore 64 / 128. I packed all that stuff away years ago. I also remember spending a lot of time with Lode Runner as well.

My first one was recoil . An arcade tank based fighting game. I started playing it when i got my first PC , in 2001, a P3 that still runs. i still have the disc but its in a bad condition and the drive fails to recognize it. I have kept that only coz that was my first one. :D

My first game was peek-a-boo, closely followed by hide and seek along with tag.

:D Hi piyush, Think I must have missed that one as I've never heard of it. I didn't really fool around in the arcades all that much at that time. It was at the point that you had to keep feeding money into the machines to continue playing the game and I didn't care much for that.

Naturally, PONG was the first. I even built a home made version that we played on an oscilloscope in the lab. This was followed by a double version I built that had four players, two played normally in the horizontal mode and two played vertically. Made for some very interesting play and could be confusing if you didn't concentrate. I serviced many of the arcade games and have rebuilt more panel controls than I can remember. Kids were so rough on the joysticks and buttons. The early Atari console had the cheapest joystick controllers imaginable, I used to replace the membrane switches with microswitches and they'd last forever.

U would'nt believe but i had strict schedules for every day & gaming was just not a part of it.
That was until i passed high school.... & finally i was introduced 2 the world of arcades.
There were several games that was availiable there. But my first & most popular game was Tekken.
Spent hours at d game parlour... i guess i was more serious about winnin d fights rather than enjoyin it!!

The first game I remember playing was a Curious George PC game when I was 5. It was an odd game, yet I still found it enjoyable (then.) Later, I got a GameBoy Colour Red with Pokemon Red. Ahh! Now THAT was a fun game! I think I've completed that game at least a dozen times.

But my first favorite PC game was Hoyle Board Games 2001. I still have fond memories of playing Parcheesi with the computer characters, named Harley the Bear, Marvin the T-Rex and Gax the Shape Shifter. The in-game comradery was stunning, because it almost seemed real. Like there were actually little characters in the computer. And wow! were they funny! Even though it was rated E, I think some of the humour got a little T rated.
Unfortunately, the CD got scratched (though I may be able to fix it.) I can still play the game without it, but without the voices.

I've got the Hoyle Card Games 200?7?, with the same characters from Board games, but haven't played it yet. I hope playing Texas Hold 'Em with them will be the same amount of fun as playing Parcheesi. :)

Yes, I have tried Pokemon Gold, Diamond, Pearl, and Sapphire (Last three I borrowed.) I really liked Pokemon Gold and Sapphire. Liked D&P too, just thought it was really slow in the beginning. On GB Colour, my other game was DragonWarriors 1 & 2 on one cartridge (shame they don't do that anymore.)

I play other games, but lately I am beginning to think I'm just wasting my life. :)

My first was actually a golfing game. I'm not 100% sure how it worked. It looked like hand drawn artwork and acted like it used a limited number of predefined scenes. This was in the very early 70's, even before the arcade game Pong made its debut. In the late 70's and early 80's I was an arcade game fanatic. I played anything that was released during this period. My favorite was a tank game that used vector graphics. Very crude by today's standards, but a lot of fun. Asteroids was probably my second favorite.

I never cared much for Space Invaders, Frogger or Centipede, but I loved Galaga, Galaxian and Zaxxon.

As the arcade craze dwindled in the mid 80's, so did my interest in them. I haven't owned a console since the Intellivision, and haven't really wanted to.

My Nephew came in with a new Game Boy Color with various Versions of Pokemon. I was looking through thse things and saw that he had Legend Of Zelda : Oracle of the Seasons and that was all she wrote. Not long after, he got the companion game, Oracle of the Ages. I somehow ended up inheriting that Game Boy Color and have one game: The Mummy.
