I believe all mentioned within the article whose voices were analyzed are politicians. All of them were lying!

You don't need a top of the line voice analyzer to know that when a politician opens his mouth he's lying. It's just a given.

How accurate can this possibly be? Does it distinguish between forgetfullness and lying? Your voice surely tends to change when you're trying to remember something and say it at the same time!

Perhaps this user would prefer no government at all. If politicians are lying, it is because the 'sheep' donot take sufficient interest in the political life of the nation. Did you vote lately?

Two things, 1) I'm fifteen so technically I'm to young to vote, but you can't be to young to have an informed opinion. 2) I'd rather have no government than a lying, over boated one. So yes, in our case, I'd rather have no gov.

I agree with lespot. . . Pols, hookers, lawyers, used car salesmen, insurance salesmen are all alike, they just want to screw ya !! To Number3124... It's great that you've formed opinions BUT, no gov ?? That means no fire dept, no cops on the beat, no jails to lock up the drug dealers . . . I'd rethink that opinion if I were you..

Just remember, a lot of VERY BAD politicians have been elected by a large number of VERY GOOD citizens who just didn't vote !!

This is silly, you don't need voice stress to tell who's lying about what. A politician ONLY lies as soon as he opens his mouth and says something.

Notice what each side lies about. The Dems lie about themselves, the Gop lies about the Dems. Time for the Dems to lie about the Gop. Oh that's right, you can't lie about them since that would just be compliments in the eyes of the public. Call them patriots, that would be a lie, say they'll help the economy, that'd be a lie too. No South Park fans here???
You have the Giant Douche and the Turd Sandwich to pick from
That is what is wrong with the US political system
We need a real 3rd party, one that must be allowed a to have candidate on every election everywhere. For as long as I have been alive and can remember (45 years) politicians have been making the same promises and not delivering. Unfortunately when you can only pick one of two people what REAL choice do you have? Remember the PARTIES pick the candidate, I know it is supposed to be from the members, but please, in the 2000 election Al Gore had MINUS votes in some counties of Florida, how does that happen? Fraud maybe. again it's all about the dollar.

Number 3124:
No government is not an option nor is a government without politics an option. We will have a representative government by some agreed upon rules or we will have government by warlords. Imperfect as it is I still prefer our current governmental structure to one in which might is the only definition of right.

I'm amazed that there are no comments on the technology. This whole article is about snake oil marketed as truth serum. Voice analysis under uncontrolled conditions can no more separate truth from lie that a lie detector can under controlled condition. The technology here is smoke and mirrors.

Yeah I agree with that, our gov is a lot better than any other form out there, but it's still broken and run by bureaucrats.
