Compared to -D, it is true that you can't hit -M a second time to restore the windows. But if you have pressed -M or -D, you can bring your windows back up by pressing --M. So it's not completely a one-way trip.

If you have many windows open and you pass the item you want while using the ALT Tab function, use SHIFT ALT + Tab to go backwards.
