My Internet Explorer 7 browser always crashes. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. Any advice on how to solve this problem without having to reinstall Windows Vista?

Never mind. I found out what the problem is: conflicting add-ons with the browser. I disabled it and it seems to be working now. Thanks for your suggestion though. I will try FireFox and see how it goes.

Along those lines:

"Internet Explorer has a problem and will close now" is a problem I see quite often on my XP Home machine / 2GB RAM / 2.66 Ghz P4. AND I do run Firefox as my browser, not IE.

So, it may not be a browser problem. It may be part of IE itself that runs even when you use other browsers. IE is how we move around on our computer for lots of things, regardless if we use it as our browser or not.

Hi Sigit,

So what were the add-ons that conflicted with the browser?

The reason I ask is because ever since I installed the last batch of 6 MSFT updates last week, I've been having mega problems with IE crashing. Or even taking too long, even longer than usual to load up stuff.
