After several months of normal operation my Dell computer with a Logitech wireless keyboard has stopped going into power save mode. The message displayed is titled "SYSTEM HIBERNATION FAILURE" and reads:

"The device driver for the "Terminal Server Keyboard" driver is preventing the machine from entering hibernation. Close all applications & try again. You may need to update driver". Rather odd wording, does a driver really have a driver?

when this happens, the screen goes black, but nothing shuts down. I have updated the relatively new Logitech keyboard driver I think, and have no other keyboard in the system that I can find. I am at a loss, any suggestions?

What OS are you running? Terminal Server is generally used for Server Operating Systems only, however you could technically refer to your computer as a terminal server if you are able to Remote Desktop to it.

Try disabling Remote Desktop if you have it enabled and give it a shot.
