Yeah, there seems to be this misconception that private browsing is inherently more secure. It may prevent others from seeing what sites you visited on that computer, but it won't prevent you from a phishing scam.

For the typical at home user tryng to hide their tracks on the puter they are using, it may be termed private browsing.
But if its a Network, or thru a Host of any kind, theres always a track left behind.
So I agree, its a matter of how you perceive secureness or privacy.
