Hey Tech!!

I have the same problem. My take is that clearspace is not up to date with this

new update from Adobe. My work around is to uninstall Adobe 10.2 and

re-install Adobe 9.0. This is what I did and everything is back to normal,

well, at least with the image up-loader. Oh, I too have Vista SP1.

I don't know about XP as I haven't up-dated that notebook yet. So, if you can

find the Adobe 9 then re-install it but, first uninstall 10.2. I had kept my

9.5 installer so I didn't have to look for it. OK, Tech , I found a 9.0 version

here at FileHippo Adobe Flash Player Plug-In .

It also disabled my FoxyTunes Player in Firefox plus my TinySpell application.

Maybe it's Vista's fault?/?

Hi Flashorn. Ok...I went directly to down load FL/PL.......from your link...(Thanks).....Did not work.....?
Then I went back to download Adobe uninstall module....!http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/

ok tech4me . I forgot to mention the earlier post was from Opera browser on XP.

I again tried with IE7 on XP and was unable to upload. Disabling flash addon led me to similar results as posted by you i.e., a different upload image screen similar to one present in firefox3 image upload screen. This different upload screen lets you upload only one image at a time whereas earlier, it was possible to upload many.

:D Hi ALL :

Perhaps when it comes to Adobe's "Flash Player" it would be wise to consider the various

"Options" suggested by Scott Dunn in his article "Flash ads bearing malware plague

popular sites" at WindowsSecrets.com/comp/080417 !?

OMG, I've been having the exact same problem, Tech!!! I even wrote a [new thread|t-41867] about it....

My Upload Image function looks exactly like yours, and then you have to click on Browse, then on Upload, and then on Insert. That's 2 more clicks than before! That never happened before.

Anyway, so THIS IS AN ADOBE FLASH PLAYER problem??? That thing has been trying to install itself on my computer for about a week now, and I keep stopping it.

Also, I've been having problems with my scanner and with uploading pics from Photobucket to another forum, so I wonder if it is because I don't have the new Flash Player??? :0 X-(

Hi Adama. Sorri .....I missed your post (Should have looked in to it)
There is a way to work around With Flash player V10 (Actually a ShockWave Flash) If you don't mind keeping... DISABLE...ENABLE add/on in IE.
I chose to come back to FlashPL V9 (Don't care much for Youtube) so I don't have to come back and forth..

Here is how......(Incase any in the forum has problem with Fl 10)

IE.....Tool....Internet Option.....Program.......manage Add On......(Wait for ir loads).....high line..Adobe shockWave flsah.......Hit DISABLE...(at the bottom)!

Hi Tech,

Thanks for the info. I checked my Internet Options and then the Manage Add-ons, and I do not have Adobe Flash Player version 10.

This is all I have there from Adove:

I only have the Adove PDF Reader enabled. May be that part of my problem is that about a week ago I went trigger happy and deleted the Adobe Flash Player I had in there?? IDK. :(

Hey Tech!!

Your Welcomed.

I also forgot to tell you that I use Firefox 2.0.0.17 and IE8 Beta. Don't really care for

Firefox 3 as it doen't have the Skins I enjoy looking at. And even with the 9.0 version

I can still watch YouTube videos.

You should have put that link in here for the Uninstall tool. Just make it faster for all.

Thank You Tech!!

Now I don't have to look for it. LOL!

But, seriously, I like to know where and how

to get to the tools that we might be in need of.

This way we don't have to spend too much

time looking around and since you had already

done all of the work well.......

Thankx Tech!

Thanks for the great info, Tech.

I just checked my Installed Programs and it looks like I only have Adobe Reader 8.1.2 in my computer.

Posted Image

So, I have one tiny, silly, silly question: Is Adobe Reader different than Adobe Flash Player? :p I told you it was silly.... :)

Hi SW,

Thanks for the link. I read through the article and it's great that this guy offers several other things that people can use.

However, since I'm in the business of making graphics I really do need a Flash Player, otherwise I can't upload them to certain photo hosting websites.

Hi Flashorn!

Hi Tech!

I just went to the Adobe website and downloaded Adobe Flash Player V-9, and it downloaded without problems.

Now, let's see if this puppy works the way it's supposed to:

yes it is different. adobe reader lets you open PDF files while adobe flash player is a sort mutlimedia player mainly for playing swf files and for viewing rich flash content embedded in many websites.
