Heilsa!

I recently opened up yahoo mail in Firefox after an upgrade from 2.0.0.17 to 2.0.018 and after noticing that MS had made an update called Software Distribution Service 3.0 on my PC (HP Pavilion 514n, running WinXp 500+MB of RAM) and went to open some emails and they won't open. Then I went to open my contacts and they won't open. Then when I try to switch over to "yahoo mail classic" it won't do anything there either. Down in the left when I move the pointer over the option to switch to classic it says JAVA 0 void or something like that. I also tried to open up Gmail and it accepts the user login and pass but doesn't finish loading and won't open. The Basic HTML version for slow connections WILL open.

Well, at first I thought that it was that Software Distribution Service 3.0 and did a system restore and shutdown my automatic updates etc... Well I still had the problem. So I uninstalled Firefox and went to try and get the 2.0.0.17 back and can't find it anywhere. So I upgraded to Firefox 3 and it did the same thing. So, I went back to Firefox 2.0.018 as I won't be able to use one of my plugins if I try to use Firefox 3 and updated my JAVA and updated my Adobe Flash Player and also installed Spybot Search and Destroy just to try something different as I am running McAfee, and have also been using SuperAntispyware, Rouge Remover, Panda antirootkit etc... and Spybot found a couple of minor things and removed them. I don't have Spybot set to be the real time scanner.

I have cleaned this PC with CCleaner, Deleted everything in the Internet Options, and even ran the Cleaners on Revo Uninstaller and ATF Cleaner and none of this has had any affect as Firefox is still doing the same thing.

Is there some ActiveX control not working or something JAVA is enabled. I ran across this site: http://www.pcpitstop.com/testax.asp during my searches for a remedy on this and it has some sort of activex test on it, I didn't download anything but it says that if you are seeing ActiveX is Not Supported in the box above then your browser is not using or can't use ActiveX. How legit is this site and could it be that I don't have some sort of ActiveX installed. This situation in Firefox is only in Firefox. Yahoo and Gmail works fine IE. What to do? If any of you could help me out in this situation I would be much obliged!

Heilsa!

I have figured out what it is and Firefox is awhere of it already, that is how I found out what the problem is. I went to report this problem to them and found out that quite a few others are having the same problem. Well one of the replys in their bug section told one of the complaintents was asked if they had the "RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin and the Talkback Plugin if so disable them and reboot and try Firefox and the emails out and see if that fixes this situation. Well the complaintent did and it fixed it.

So I did the same as I have those plugins and rebooted and it worked not having any problems with Firefox now. But that is like putting a bandaid on something its not fixing the problem. They want me to enable one plugin at a time to see which one it actually is so I will post back and tell you all which one it is and the solution if and when Mozilla creates one. I hope it is not the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin.
