Hi
Mechcommander 2 runs so fast on my new PC that is almost unplayable.
New PC is AMD 3GHz dual core, XP Home SP3.
Game runs at the rite speed on my old AMD 2.2GHz single core, XP Home SP3.
AND it ran at the rite speed on my older AMD 2GHz single core, XP Home SP3.
AND it ran at the rite speed on my older than old AMD 450MHz single core, Win98 SE.

NOW i get the feeling that its not the high clock speed thats doing it, i think game runs way too fast cuz its running on a dual core.

Where can i get a PC slower downer??
Do you know one that will work and is not a hassle to use??

thanks

Never heard of such a thing. Maybe cutting back on the Video acceleration might help. There is an adjustment for that. My is set to max by default. coastie

what game is this?

if you've got an older graphics card, try playing the game using it. Will result in a lower frame rate.

or you can get virtualbox and boot up a couple of live linux distros to fill up all the extra cpu and memory

Ok, theres no specific settings for Mechcommander 2 in Nvidia control panel.
BUT the other day Quake4 was giving slow frame rate, there were settings for Quake4, it was set to multiple display performance mode by default, i switched to single display performance mode, that made Quake4 run nice and fast.
SO i used single display performance mode as global setting, that fixed Mechcommander 2 and i think it mite fix some buggy behavior i got in another program too.
AND thats Snorgalicious.

Well, I never thought I'd see the day that someone would want their PC to slow down...

I'm glad that you solved your problem, Snorg! Way to go.
