Okay, let's try and narrow the focus a bit. Please answer these questions:

- Do you have any Add-Ons installed in Internet Explorer?

- Do you have any ActiveX Controls installed in Internet Explorer?

- Do you have any Toolbars installed in Internet Explorer?

- When was the last time you cleared the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, History, and Cache?

- Do you get any error messages?

- Is it only Internet Explorer that freezes or other applications as well?

With Pleasure. :D

Okay, the first thing you should try is to clear the temporary files, etc. To do this, do the following:

- Open Internet Explorer

- Click Tools -> Delete Browsing History...

- Select the first three options (Delete Files, Delete Cookies, Delete History)

- Once all three are done, click Close

- Go to http://www.ccleaner.com/ and download the CCleaner

- Once installed, run the application

- Within the application, click Options -> Advanced

- Remove the check mark from the box next to "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours"

- Click on Settings

- Under the Secure Deletion section, select "Secure file deletion" and select "Gutmann (35 passes)" from the drop down list

- Click on "Cleaner" in the upper left hand corner

- Click Run Cleaner to begin. The actually cleaning process may take quite some time.

Now, the above takes care of any temporary files, etc. To tell if there are any ActiveX Controls installed in your browser, do the following:

- Open Internet Explorer

- Click on Tools -> Manage Add-Ons -> Enable or Disable Add-Ons

- If there are any ActiveX Controls listed, select it (them) and choose Disable at the bottom of the window

No problem at all. If you didn't get it already, I would highly recommend CCleaner. You will be surprised at how much space you recover because of unnecessary buildup.
