Hey Rosalie!!

Welcome to PCWorld Community!

Now, we would appreciate a little more info. on the Operating System you are using.

( Windows XP SP1 , SP2 , SP3 . Vista or something else ) .

With out waiting for a responce , have you tried to "Disable" Windows Live OneCare?

and see if you could access your E-Mails?

It's too bad you had to fall prey to Micosoft's attempt at security suites because as of

June of 09 OneCare will be no more. The ensuing product will be free.

Read the Second post by Ask Woody.com . Actually, you

could bookmark this site and visit once in a while to keep up on whatever MS.and

others are doing or having problems with that affects all of us.

In the mean time , try and disable OneCare and see if this works. With out knowing

which OS you are using , I cannot show you how but, if you have an icon in the

Notification Are ( where the clock is ) Right Click on the icon and you should have

an entry to Disable Onecare.

Hi Rosalie and welcome to PCWorld Community.

I agree with Flashorn, without knowing what OS (Operating System) you have it makes it harder to provide suggestions. TheOperating System is what makes your computer work and that would be called Windows XP, Windows Vista, etc.

Now, you can also try doing a System Restore to the time just before you noticed that you couldn't access your email. Sometimes that would work with problems like yours.
